About This Site

This site provides information regarding the NobleKing Midget 2 hockey team, part of the NobleKing Minor Hockey Association and the Simcoe Region Minor Hockey Association.

The main (home) page includes the following sections:

• Blog entries - a brief recap of each game, posted anywhere from a few hours to several days after the game. These will usually include pictures;
• Real-time News- Schedule reminders, important updates and the like;
• Upcoming Team Events - Upcoming items from the Midget 2 calendar;
• Resources - A list of useful links including NKMHA, OMHA, etc.
• Recent Team Photos - A sampling of the most recent team pictures.  These are hosted on Flickr, and you can view the entire set here: Midget 2 on Flickr;
• Blog Archive - Older blog postings organized by date;
• Team Calendar - at the bottom is the team calendar, which includes games, practices, and other events.  The 'Resources' list described above includes a link to the the calendar as its first entry (this is useful if there are a lot of blog postings).   There is more calendar information below.  Calendar information is also available from the NobleKing site (homes games, practices) and the OMHA site (all games).

The tabs at the top of the home page includes:

• This page;
• Arenas that we visit, marked on a Google map;
• Team Roster;

Last year's Minor Midget 2 website shows what this site will eventually look like.

Here is some hopefully useful reference information.

• The team calendar is maintained using Google Calendar. We keep it up to date with BladeNet. Here is the direct link to the calendar at Google.   In general, this should be your source of scheduling information.
• If you wish to synchronize the team calendar with your mobile device, you can find instructions here for various devices (iPhone/iPad/Blackberry,etc.);
• Pictures are hosted on Flickr. The link to the team photo set is here. 
• Video is hosted on YouTube: Midget 2 YouTube Playlist; 
• If you use Twitter, you can receive the real-time news (the same entries listed in 'Real-time News' above) by following cussrm.

The pictures and video will be provided on a DVD at the end of the season.
